Jasper likes things that make sense.

He likes the predictable worlds inside his video games, talking to his best friend Alex through his headset and spending quiet afternoons alone in his bedroom. Most of all, Jasper likes lollipops, especially strawberry swirls.

The other people in his life rarely understand him. His parents think he spends too much time in his own world, and his younger sister always seems to get the attention. But Jasper does not mind. As long as he has his games and a supply of lollipops, he can shut out everything else.

Then, hidden beneath the paper of an ordinary lollipop stick, Jasper discovers something that should not be there.

A code.

Numbers, letters and unfamiliar symbols have been carefully marked across the stick. They appear to point towards a place far beyond his quiet town, a place where, according to every map Jasper checks, there should be nothing at all.

Perhaps it is a printing mistake. Perhaps it is a strange competition. Or perhaps somebody left the code for Jasper to find.

Once a mystery takes hold of his mind, Jasper cannot ignore it. He needs to know what the symbols mean, where they lead and why they appeared on his favourite lollipop.

But some messages are hidden for a reason and following this one could take Jasper much farther than he ever expected.

Unravel the mystery one lollipop at a time in a strange and suspenseful adventure about curiosity, courage and a boy who cannot stop until he discovers the truth.
